What do we want? We want the A9 to be dualled for the entire stretch between Perth and Inverness.
Why? The A9 is Scotland’s most dangerous road, with the highest road fatality rate in Scotland over the last five years (latest statistics available). It’s also a crucial economic link between the north and south and its dualling would be a major boost for the communities it serves.

NO IMMEDIATE TIMETABLE FOR A9 DUALLING

Mid-Scotland and Fife Tory MSP Murdo Fraser has received confirmation from the SNP Government that there will not be an immediate timetable for dualling the A9 in its entirety from Perth to Inverness, but instead steady improvements and investment in the road up to 2022.
In Murdo’s parliamentary question, he asked whether dualling the A9 will be the SNP Government’s number one road priority in 2008. In response, Transport Minister Stewart Stevenson stated:
